A person reads everything sent here. Kode Foundry is a small team, so an answer usually takes a day rather than an hour, and it comes from somebody who worked on the app.
Getting in touch
Email hello@kodefoundry.com, or message us on WhatsApp. Both are in the app as well, under Settings.
If something went wrong, the useful things to include are what you were doing, what you expected, and what happened instead. A screenshot is worth more than any of them.
Reporting somebody
Every post, person and message can be reported from the place you are reading it. Tap the menu on it and choose Report. A moderator looks at each one, content that breaks the terms is removed, and accounts that post it are closed. Nobody is told who reported them.
You can also block somebody outright, from their profile or from Settings. Blocking is immediate and does not wait for anybody to review it.
Deleting your account
Settings, then Delete account. It removes your profile, your posts, your messages and your encryption keys. It cannot be undone, and we cannot restore any of it afterwards, because there is no copy on our side to restore from.
Messages that will not send
A message written with no signal is saved on your phone and sends itself when there is a connection. It is not lost while it waits. If one stays marked as waiting long after you are back online, sign out and back in. That republishes this device's keys, which is the usual cause.
Nobody has answered anything in my city
The twelve landing steps are there whether or not anybody has answered them, which is the point: they at least tell you what you do not know yet. Somebody has to be first, and if you have already been through one of them, writing down what you did takes two minutes and saves the next person a wasted morning.
Adding where you live, and where in Lebanon you are from, is also what lets other people find you.
An answer looks out of date
It probably says so. Every answer shows when anybody last confirmed it still works, and one nobody has checked in six months is marked as unconfirmed rather than left looking current. If you have just been through it, tap “This still works” — that is what moves the date, and it is the only thing that does.
What we cannot help with
We cannot read your private messages, so we cannot recover them, tell you what one said, or get them back after a sign-out. That is the cost of the encryption being real rather than described. See the privacy policy.
We cannot tell you what the residency rules are where you live. Nothing in LebEx is legal or immigration advice: the landing shows what other people did, with their names on it, and the app says so on every step. Check anything official before you rely on it.
LebEx is not an emergency service. For an emergency, use Emergency SOS on your iPhone or call your local emergency number.
